The Ayuda Foundation is a 501C3 non-profit based in Guam that is dedicated to helping Pacific islanders, especially our Micronesian region, in times of need. Ayuda was founded by Carlotta Leon Guerrero, a former senator and journalist, with Dr. Mike Cruz, of the Guam Medical Society, and Christine Nilsen, of Continental Micronesia, Inc.
We are a humanitarian response organization to regional disasters and needs. Our three major programs:
- Medical Missions: the movement of medical supplies and donations throughout the Pacific, especially Micronesia.
- Island Girl Power: prevention and empowerment program aimed at Guam’s female youth to make healthy lifestyle choices by encouraging positive self esteem via mentors and role models, inspiring cultural and community pride, and improving our environmental future.
- Wings for Life: utilizes frequent flyer miles for airfare of medically indigent patients
The needs of our pacific islanders are constantly changing and and we are dedicated to resolving as many issues as efficiently and proficiently as possible.
