History of The Salvation Army Lighthouse Recovery Center:

In 1999, the LRC was opened in partnership with the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority (GHURA) providing operating expenses. On June 17, 2008 LRC’s groundbreaking was held for the current facility in Tiyan which houses 28 Men addressing problematic substance use. The LRC has over 20 years of experience in delivering treatment services on Guam.

Mission Statement:

The Salvation Army Lighthouse Recovery Center is committed to helping individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders by providing a drug free and supportive living and learning environment, encouraging spiritual growth and strengthening life skills necessary in their transition to achieving a purpose-driven and higher quality of life.

The Lighthouse Recovery Center (LRC) Team:

The LRC has a Multidisciplinary Clinical Team that is comprised of a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist Licensed Master of Social Work, Internationally Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselors, Certified Substance Abuse Treatment counselor I, II, and III. The Clinical Team is also certified in Delivering Telemental Health Services.

  • Assistance in Housing / Food for those who qualify

How to begin services with Lighthouse Recovery Center

In order to begin services with the LRC, you will need to complete a screening and assessment
  • Screenings are on Mondays and Fridays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • You will need an updated PPD
For Withdrawal Management, you may be required to obtain a clearance from a Physician (you will be instructed of this upon your screening) A Covid-19 Test may be required.

Once your screening is done, you will be given an appointment for an Assessment where your information will be collected to determine eligibility and for appropriate placement into treatment

Once accepted, you will receive a letter indicating your start date with the LRC

You will be assisted throughout the entire process and you will be provided information on what you are expected to do to begin your treatment program here at the LRC
