Category: The In Home Services program is funded by the Government of Guam, Public Health & Social Services, Division of Senior Citizens throgh Title III-B of the Older Americans Act of 165 as amdended by the Older american Acts amendments of 2000.
Description:
The In-Home Services program provides service to elderly sixty (60) years and older who are frail and homebound. In-Home Service workers provide services to individuals sixty (60) years and older who are frail, homebound by reason of illness or incapacitating disability.
Who we serve
Elderly who are unable to perform at least two (2) of the following Activities of Daily Living (ADL) without personal assistance, standby assistance, supervision, or cues such as:
• Eating
• Dressing
• Bathing
• Toileting
• Transferring in and out of the bed/chair
• Walking
• Or has a cognitive or mental impairment
In consultation and collaboration with Case Management Services, services can be scheduled for clients who qualify in accordance with the client’s Individualized Care Plan (ICP).

Personal Care Services: Providing personal assistance such as: feeding, dressing, bathing, toileting, transferring in/out of bed/chair or walking.
Homemaker Services: Providing assistance such as; making of bed, changing linens, cleaning elderly’s room, preparing meals, shopping/errands for essential needs, assisting the client with use of the telephone or doing light housework and laundry.
Chore Services: Providing assistance such as sweeping and mopping of floors, dusting, dishwashing, cleaning of refrigerator, stove, bathroom and removing trash.
Telephone Reassurance Services: A daily check-in call from a volunteer/staff to an isolated elderly or disabled person. The call is placed at an arranged time and day. If the client does not answer the phone, a procedure is in place for the volunteer to follow up before the emergency response system is activated.
