The Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Inc. (CCADV) was founded in 1978 as the "Battered Women's Task Force" and incorporated in 1986, as a vehicle for community-based domestic violence programs to provide statewide public policy advocacy, legislative reform, and education on the issue of domestic violence.

The CCADV is a statewide, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The current membership of the Coalition includes private, non-profit agencies providing services to victims of domestic violence which include but are not limited to safety planning, short-term counseling and support groups, information and referrals, advocacy, emergency shelter, children's programs and community education and training. CCADV is governed by a 17-member board of directors. Its daily operations are overseen by its Executive Director.

CCADV is a statewide network of community-based programs providing shelter, support, and advocacy to victims of domestic violence. CCADV provides program coordination and skills training to assist member programs to develop, enhance, and improve their programs, policies and services. CCADV assists member programs in building their capacity so they can support victims to live free from violence.
