The aim of our church is to spread a passion for the glories of Christ by building community and loving all peoples. Or put simply we value: Christ, Community, and Culture. First and foremost, Christ and his gospel are at the center of all we do. And we hope that the gospel permeates our relationships in the local church, families, and the community at large.

CHRIST
At Bayview, we desire to spread a passion of the glories of Christ in the gospel. It is easy to think that the gospel is just about becoming a Christian when the gospel is really about being a Christian. Many people think that ministering to others takes some kind of crazy biblical knowledge that normal Christians don’t have access to. The truth is that the gospel is the beginning, middle, and end of all ministry. The power and centrality of the gospel is what makes every believer able to contribute powerfully to the lives of others.

COMMUNITY
When we become a believer in Christ God places us into a new community – His church. This puts you (as an individual) into His community.

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostle and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. Ephesians 2:19–22

We value deeper relationships as the place where gospel growth happens. We believe that discipleship happens best in deeper relationships, in smaller groups within the context of community. We also value small group life in the church as a better place for deeper relationships to grow. This drives the shape of our ministries. To be a disciple you must walk with other disciples in life where we speak into one another’s lives.

CULTURE
At Bayview, we think of all our members as missionaries. If you are living here for any period of time, then God has called you to live out your faith physically in the community of Guam, and to take into consideration its strategic placement in the Asian-Pacific region of the world.

We value the engagement of culture because God values people from every territory, language, nation, and ethnicity. Missionaries do not live in isolation of the culture they are sent to. They live in it, serve it, try to understand it—all with the intention of bringing the gospel to it. It is our belief that the multi-ethnic island of Guam is strategic to God’s mission to glorify himself and we desire to be a part of it (see, Matthew 28 and Jeremiah 29). We also value living with and serving the people of Guam. As believers, we are not to live in Guam with an attitude that uses Guam for our own advantages. We truly believe that we are here to seek the good of all peoples for the glory of Christ.

Sunday Morning Service

Our Sunday morning church services are a time of worship, reflection, and fellowship.  It typically begins with a warm welcome as members and visitors arrive, and are greeted by ushers and church leaders that will answer questions about Bayview, its ministries, and events.  In the foyer we have a coffee station and an announcement board so you can view any upcoming events, other announcements, and ministry opportunities.  During the service, our focus is on magnifying Christ through singing, prayer, Bible reading, and sharing a Gospel-centered message.

We offer two Sunday morning services:
First Service: 9:00 AM
Second Service: 10:45 AM

Sunday Morning Children’s Ministry

Nursery Care (Infant–23 months): Available during both the 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM services.
Children’s Program (Ages 2–11): Offered only during the 10:45 AM service.
Middle School Program (Ages 11–14): Runs concurrently with the 10:45 AM service.
Our dedicated children’s helpers and volunteers are available to assist families with any details about the children's ministry services.  Parents are required to check in their children at the Welcome Table located in the Children’s Ministry building.

Wednesday Night Youth Group

Middle school and high school students gather on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM for games, singing, a Gospel-centered message, and small group discussions. A light dinner is provided for youth and volunteers.

Community Groups

Community groups meet regularly (usually weekly) to foster deeper connections and share life together. Each meeting includes time for fellowship, prayer, and discussions on applying Scripture to daily living.
Bible and Book Studies
Throughout the year, Bayview hosts group Bible and book studies for both men and women. These are great opportunities to grow spiritually and connect with others.
